The QVMAG Arts Foundation, warmly invites you to attend the 2026 Nuala O’Flaherty Memorial Lecture.

This year's lecture will be presented by Professor Michael O’Flaherty FRSA, Commissioner for Human Rights at the Council of Europe, who will deliver an address titled The Artist as Defender of Human Rights.

Professor O’Flaherty is internationally recognised for his work in advancing human rights, equality and democratic values. His lecture will explore the important role artists play in defending human rights, challenging injustice and shaping public discourse.

It promises to be a thought-provoking evening of significance to our cultural and civic community.
